Finding your way when life spans countries, cultures and transitions

Living internationally can be incredibly rewarding. It can also be complicated in ways that are difficult to explain to people who haven't experienced it.

When hoMe is more than one place

You may have recently arrived in Kenya and be trying to establish a new life, community and sense of belonging. Or perhaps you've lived internationally for years and feel completely at home abroad—yet still encounter the unique pressures that come with a globally mobile life.

You may have moved for your partner's career and find yourself wondering where your own career, identity or sense of purpose fits. Creating a life that feels genuinely your own can take time.

Repeated moves can bring their own challenges too. Friendships form and change, children grow up between cultures, and questions about belonging and where home is can become increasingly complicated.

And sometimes the reason you seek therapy isn't particularly international at all. You may be experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, career uncertainty or simply feeling stuck.

Living internationally is the context of your life. It doesn't have to be the problem.

You might be navigating:

  • Adjusting to an international move

  • Identity, belonging and questions about where “home” is

  • Accompanying partner/spouse transitions

  • Relationship or family challenges while living abroad

  • Loneliness, isolation or difficulty finding your group

  • Career changes and uncertainty

  • Repeated goodbyes, relocations and transitions

  • Anxiety, stress, burnout or feeling overwhelmed

  • Feeling stuck, disconnected or simply not quite yourself

  • Preparing to relocate or return “home” after years abroad

RETURNING HOME

Coming home after years abroad can be more complicated than expected. You may have changed, relationships may have shifted, and the place that once felt familiar may no longer feel quite the same.

Therapy can offer space to navigate reverse culture shock, changing relationships, identity and belonging, and career or life transitions—while finding your footing and building a life at home that fits who you are now.

A Space to Find Your way forward

Therapy can offer space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and reconnect with what matters to you.

My approach is warm, collaborative and practical, helping you make sense of where you are and find a way forward that feels like your own.
