Couples counselling
reconnect. communICATE. FInd your way forward - together
Relationships can be a source of connection, comfort, and belonging. They can also be where we feel most hurt, misunderstood or alone.
When communication starts to feel hard
Most couples don’t come to counselling because they never communicate. Often, they are communicating a lot - but finding themselves having the same conversations, arguments pr misunderstandings without getting anywhere.
You may love each other deeply while still feeling disconnected. Small disagreements may quickly escalate, one of you may withdraw while the other pursues the conversation or attempts to resolve things may somehow leave you feeling event further apart.
For other couples, there may have been a significant rapture - such as betrayal, loss of trust or a major life transition - that has changed the relationship.
Relationships across cultures and countries can bring additional layers.
Couples may be navigating different cultural expectations, relocation, distance from family, career compromises, changing roles or the question of where “home” will ultimately be. These experiences can become part of our work when they’re relevant to your relationship.
You might be navigating:
Repeated arguments or communication breakdown
Feeling unheard, criticized or misunderstood
Emotional distance or loss of connection
Difficulty expressing needs
Different approaches to conflict
Trust or betrayal
Intimacy and connection
Major life and family transitions
Stress related to living internationally
Deciding what you want for the relationship
Couples counselling provides a space to slow things down, understand what’s happening beneath the conflict, and begin relating to one another differently.
My role isn’t to decide who is right or wrong. It’s to help you better understand the relationship you’ve created together, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and develop practical ways of communicating and reconnecting.
